Cookie Policy
Which cookies this website uses, why, and how to change your choices.

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, work in a similar way. We use them to make this website work and, only with your consent, to understand how it’s used.
How we use them
We use:
- Essential cookies and storage: needed for the website to work, such as remembering your cookie choices and your light or dark mode preference. These don’t need consent.
- Analytics cookies: help us understand how visitors use the website (for example which pages are viewed and which buttons are used) so we can improve it. They are only set if you accept analytics cookies.
- Marketing and third-party content: help us measure and improve our adverts (for example on Google, Facebook, Instagram or TikTok) and load content from other services such as Google Maps. They are only set if you accept marketing cookies (maps also load if you choose to show one).

| apex-lh-learnt (local storage) | This website | Remembers which Learners Hub questions you marked as learnt | Until cleared | Essential |
| wordpress_*, wp-settings-* | This website | Keeps staff logged in to manage the website (not set for visitors) | Session to 1 year | Essential |
| apex_s (session storage) | This website (Apex Analytics) | Remembers where your visit came from (e.g. Google or an advert), so we can see which sources lead to enquiries. No personal data. | Until you close the tab | Analytics |
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics | Counts visits and how the website is used | 2 years | Analytics |
| _gcl_au | Google Ads | Measures which Google adverts lead to enquiries | 90 days | Marketing |

We also count visits, button clicks and enquiries with our own built-in statistics (Apex Analytics). These counts are anonymous: no cookies, names or IP addresses are stored, and they are kept on our own website, not shared with anyone.
The fonts on this website are stored on our own server, so no font requests are sent to Google or other font services.
Postcode suggestions in the booking form come from postcodes.io. This doesn’t set cookies; only the text you type in that field is sent.
Managing your choices
You can change your choices at any time:
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working properly.
Changes to this policy
We’ll update this page if the cookies we use change.
