Terms & Conditions
The terms that apply when you book driving lessons, courses or test car hire with Apex School of Driving.
Last updated: October 2026
1. Bookings
Driving lessons are subject to availability. A lesson becomes booked once the time has been agreed between the student and Apex School of Driving.2. Payment
Payment is currently accepted by:- Cash
- Bank transfer
3. Cancellation
Apex School of Driving operates a 48-hour cancellation policy. Lessons cancelled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours’ notice may be charged at the agreed lesson rate. Exceptional circumstances may be considered at the instructor’s discretion.4. Punctuality
Students should be ready at the agreed location and time. If a student arrives late, the lesson will normally finish at the originally agreed time.5. Student responsibilities
Students must:- Hold the appropriate driving licence/learner entitlement.
- Meet the legal requirements to drive.
- Follow reasonable safety instructions.
- Tell the instructor about anything that could affect their ability to drive safely.
- Not attend a lesson under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs or when otherwise unfit to drive.
6. Safety
The instructor may stop or cancel a lesson where they reasonably believe continuing would be unsafe. Lessons may also be rearranged because of severe weather, road conditions, vehicle problems or other safety concerns.7. Driving tests
Students are responsible for their own driving-test booking and documentation. Where agreed, Apex School of Driving may provide the tuition vehicle for the practical test. Any test-day vehicle fee will be confirmed before the test. Apex cannot guarantee that a student will pass their driving test or be ready after a particular number of lessons.8. Refunds & Unused hours
If you have paid for lessons in advance and subsequently request a refund, we will consider the request based on the circumstances and in accordance with applicable UK consumer law. Any lessons already provided will be charged at the applicable individual lesson rate, and any refund due will be calculated on the remaining unused balance. Where a refund is appropriate, it will normally be made using the original payment method. Block bookings are intended to be used for driving tuition and are not automatically refundable simply because a learner chooses to stop lessons. We will consider each request fairly, taking into account lessons already provided, reasonable costs incurred and the circumstances of the request. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.9. Behaviour
Apex School of Driving expects students to treat the instructor respectfully. Threatening, abusive or seriously inappropriate behaviour may result in lessons being terminated.10. Complaints
If you have a complaint, please contact Apex School of Driving so that we can try to resolve the matter.Apex School of Driving Lancashire
